Hello everyone,

so I have 75 euros in cash and I would like to exchange it to dollars (cash).

My thing is, I can't seem to find any place in KC that would do currency exchange.

I use a small local bank, so they don't have currency exchange there, not even for customers. Any other bank (I called around a lot) only does currency exchange for its customers. I did call the airport too (I know they work with bad rates but I don't mind that either) and I was told that there is no currency exchange there either. I thought that maybe there was a currency exchange office at the airport or something like that?

I'm aware of Travelex but the nearest location is in St Louis and I'm reluctant to send money in the mail.

Does anyone know where can I exchange currency here in KC?
I know it is not a lot of money (only worth like $87) but I'm in need of it so it is important for me.

Thank you!

Bank of America, if you have one nearby, do international currency exchanges, as do Wells Fargo. B of A used to do it for non customers too, so call & ask.

eta: this seems to indicate it is for B of A customers, but it won't hurt to call & ask. Or see if a family or friend has an account.

Thank you for your answer. I did call Bank of America before and unfortunately they only do it for customers. However, I just called Wells Fargo (one of the locations on the Kansas side) and the lady said that they do currency exchange for non customers too. There is a small fee, but at least they do it!

YAY!!! I agree, a small fee is worthwhile to pay, to get the job done.
