I see several places up around the west bottoms and over by Argosy casino on google.

Anyone have any first hand experience as to which one is a good place for fair prices etc?

I'm talking stuff like tube motors (not the giant giant stuff) and those box finale type displays....not big industrial stuff or sparklers and firecrackers.

Probably going to spend 300-400

Appreciate your recommendations.

I miss blowing some cash on fireworks once in a while. It's pretty much impossible to really do much with them within like 50 miles of the larger metros here. While most cities in KC ban them, the metro explodes with fireworks. It's pretty much quiet around here.

Does KCMO allow them now? I know KCK always did. Maybe the places in the west bottoms are actually in KCK.

We used to drive out to Odessa to the permanent place on I-70 or the various tents in Blue Springs. The big ones south of Martin City too. I'm probably not much help here, but have fun!

They won't be detonated within 400 miles of here. When they are, they'll be both legal and on a large expanse of private property.

I'm looking for a place that has a good selection at a good price.

Still illegal in KCMO, but you’d never know it. No enforcement whatsoever.

This, unfortunately.

Can't stand fireworks season.

That said, there's a bunch of stands in parking lots in Independence going up right now.

Yeah I get irritated by it also, primarily because my boxer freaks out by them and I have to constantly give him Xanax to calm down. But I also have a couple annoying neighbors in Waldo that think it's ok to shoot them off a week before the 4th.

The thing that really bothers me are the pyromaniac a**holes who think it's fun to continue setting off fireworks until 2 in the morning the night of the 4th. I'm taking the 5th off just for that reason.

Thanks. It only took 8 responses to my post to provide any value to my straight-forward question.

+1 to you.

*joking*

Q: Hey, where can I find good BBQ in KC?

A: Well, BBQ was invented by the ancient Greeks and the Royals are on pace to lose 108 games this year.

Q: Can you please answer my question?

A: MO is really looking at building a monorail to take people from their homes to a giant black hole.

Q: WTF can you just tell me where to get BBQ?

A: The average temperature this time of year is 105 degrees.
