It is stereotypically suburban. Overland Park is a large suburban city with nearly 170,000 people. You did not say which school district, but I would assume that it would either be Shawnee Mission Northwest or Blue Valley Northwest. The Shawnee Mission school district is in the established portion of the city while the Blue Valley district is generally newer. I find it strange that you would be getting local high school TV from KS in NYC. Johnson County KS, is a suburb of the Kansas City metro area and has around 520,000 people with a fairly strong economy. The KC metro itself has around 2-2.5 million people depending on how many counties you include. Come visit the area sometime.

High School Confidential is an actual show, not a local high school show.

Oh, I thought it was something along those lines.

In eastern KS the high temperatures in the winter are generally in the 30s and 40s. Highs in the 50s or warmer can occasionally occur as well as temperatures below zero. Snow is quite light compared with the Upper Midwest. Strong winds and dry cold are an annoyance to say the least. Basically, expect anything and everything with regards to weather changes during winter.

It is Blue Valley NW. In general the Blue Valley neighborhoods in Overland Park are new money, cookie cutter suburbia... and yes, LOTS of dog breed bans.
