Why? it should be torn down, why, why, why did the city let the company from another country build it?

Could you expand a little further? What’s the problem? Poor design? Ugly design? Replaced something nice or historic? That is was built by ferriners?

I’m not familiar with the building, although I think it’s somewhere in Crown Center.

Meh, it's not that bad. Ordinary 80's or 90's stuff, but I've seen worse.

Might be talking about the fact that it basically ruinded the ability for union station to ever properly function as a train station again. It was built where all the tracks for passenger trains used to be. Other than that, the building is fine. Not sure it matters that the developer was out of country. You have to remember, that this was at a time when Union Station was actually very close to being torn down to make way for more crown center type development, which would have been a terrible thing.

The building is there now and it's one of very few large multi tenant buildings left downtown and it's leased up. Not much you can do, maybe build a couple of train tunnels under it. But with no regional rail and like four daily amtrak trains, it's hardly worth it. KC need to try to have more than 2 miles of streetcar before we worry about how much union station is underutilized.

what I meant was that back in the 80s or 90s Union Station(area) was owned by a Canadian company, I believe, Trizec or something and they build 2 Pershing Square and at the time didn't do anything with Union Station, 2 Pershing Square is sitting right behind the train station and doesn't look right and in my opinion should have never been built.

Isn’t the old 1990s Amtrak station underneath it?

???

In case you weren't aware, train travel isn't nearly as popular as it was 50-70 years ago. There's no need for a big train station anymore.

And there IS still an Amtrak station there.
