Talking about the universe aligning for Andy Reid. It was his 222nd win on 02/02/2020. Destiny is awesome.

I'd left the 1000 block of McKean Street for someplace warm when the Chiefs did what the Chiefs do, but I'm sure they were dancing even harder in the street in front of Big Charlie's Saloon at the end.

But that was an impressive record they set last night: first NFL team ever to come back from 10-point-or-more deficits to win playoff games three times.

Patrick Mahones is a most worthy inheritor of Len Dawson's mantle. (I was a 7- and an 11-year-old kid in Kansas City when Dawson took the Chiefs to the Supe twice, losing the very first "AFL-NFL Championship Game" but winning the second.)

I'm on Cloud Nine.

Great game -- great several games...fun to watch. (And I'm not much of a football fan)

Pure and simple Andy Reid was so very well deserving of this win. He has mentored so very many successful in the business over the last 20 years. And as far as Mahones is concerned, geez, 24 years old and with the talent he's got he is assured of a nice long career (provided he stays healthy). Not many can bolt like he does let alone an innate understanding how to quickly launch his passes in a panic and get them right where they belong. That equates (as we saw) to more effective scoring. Good on them both. Enjoy the spotlight folks. It is often a one year event for all too many. But you certainly have the right ground force to keep it going.
