It's in the Missouri > Kansas City subforum because there is no separate Kansas City subforum in the Kansas forum — only one for Wichita. Given that KCMo is the core city of the metropolitan area, this makes sense. C-D tends to prefer that discussion of topics pertaining to a metropolitan area reside in the forum for that area.

But: That looks a bit over-the-top for a Kansas Citian, if you ask me. I didn't think we were given to flaunting it like that. And 17k sf? Whoa.

Guess Lake Quivira has gotten even tonier since I left than it was when I lived in KC.

—MSE, native (and forever) Kansas Citian, adopted Philadelphian. I've found that Kansas Citians take a bit of the place with them wherever they may end up living, and I've run into my share of KC expats up this way

No, that’s at 18555 Johnson Drive directly south of the landfill.

Interesting, it's only 2 miles away from it. I guess being close to the dump must not be a giant deal if two of the counties' most expensive residential properties are that close to it.

Well, in Deffenbaugh’s case, the smell of the dump, excuse me, the landfill, is the smell of money.

It's in a suburb outside of Kansas City, which is more forested and hilly in places than people might realize.

I thought they were making a dig at Arkansas…that only there would one find a million dollar house and a landfill across the street from each other.
