Easy to say, but please tell us why you believe that. Without income taxes, how would governments provide services? How would roads and bridges be built and maintained? So please, tell us where the money would come from.

Sales tax and taxes from businesses.

This country hasnt always had income tax. In fact, the way it was designed originally was that tax was to be derived from the profits of corporations and thats it.

RjRobb gave my response.....

For our history, we were without income taxes longer then with them.... before the 16th amendment it was even found unconstitutional when they were put in place.

Income tax was originally only supposed to be temporary too. And then it became permanent. I think it's time for a revolt.

Ya know, some states DON'T have an income tax at all. My state does not have an income tax or a sales tax, but we make up for it with higher property taxes.
To see how your state stacks up check out the total tax burden ranking.

You know, i have no problem with property taxes... but I do think that once someone owns a home, property taxes should stop. My girlfriend works at a bank and sees older people who have owned their home for years having to make higher payments for property taxes then their mortgage payments used to be. When you own the place, you shouldn't have to pay anything but the utility payments IMO.
