A friend owes me money, and he is using the excuse that the Dodge City school district hasn't paid employees for a couple of months, so he doesn't have the money. I don't live in the state, so hard to ask around and verify, but this is sounding fishy to me. It is very hard to believe.

If anyone can verify one way or another if this is true or false I would appreciate it so that I can go to small claims court if I need to take that action.

Thank you much in advance.

I don't live in Dodge anymore, but I don't believe he's telling the truth.

Do you realize how many teachers would be in an uproar over such a thing?

Yes, I searched the web for reports of this, found none. That is when I became suspicious. Surely this would be front page news. Sigh, glad I didn't loan more then I could afford to lose, because I have a feeling this will be the case.

If anyone knows of any school employees in the Dodge City area not being paid, please respond. This person isn't a teacher, but an aide. I don't know if that makes any difference, but I doubt it.

Thanks again, and thank you Torn2pieces for responding.

I read the Dodge Globe online and there is no mention of it -

I think - they are just trying to get out of the debt, or perhaps they don't even work for the school.

Hope you get your money!!!!!

We live in dodge, and teachers and teachers aids get paid at the end of the month. So buddy you were flat out lied too. They probably spent their money they owed you. That is a trend with people in the school system, because they are paid so little.
