Better yet just drive around & look & if ya want to just drive in & ask, but be discrete as if another guy finds out that place is for sale lookout!

That might have been true ten years ago, but it is increasingly common that mineral rights are retained when land sells.

While this is true it is a bit misleading to ever see the words "Major City" and "Metro Area" used in the same sentence :P. I see the towns of Cimarron, Spearville, Ingalls, Sublette, and Scott City as prime areas from growth if this oil boom really takes off. They are all near and seen as more desirable then the large towns in the area yet are still close to shopping and dining options. Scott City has seen an oil boom in the past.
