Right, no funding from the Koch Brothers I'm certain.

You and others always scream about the Koch brothers, but never explain why. Do you have any direct facts that suggest something possibly corrupt or something not in the interest of Kansas is taking place or just opinions and suspicions? I wish people like you would explain yourselves and try to truly inform people on your take rather than throwing out vague accusations.

Your response doesn't even make sense relative to that posters comment.

Yes, it does because Brownback is right in the pockets of big business and corporate agriculture interests. This is exactly the stance of Koch as they will always have the backing of the biggest business and ag interests instead of caring anything at all about local issues. That is why co-ops remain the stalwart against corporate advances in many areas as they have farmer (member) interests in mind.
Also, it is highly unlikely that Brownback would ever call for a sharp reduction in subsidy payments to the largest corporate farms in the state, often in the SW corner of the state. These operations have direct linkages that feed the massive complex of feedlots and packing plants in the vicinity of Garden City, Dodge City, and Liberal...

I don't know why it matters so much to you and kcmo, GraniteStater. Neither of you live here, yet you constantly come here to bash Kansas. Just seems like it would make more sense to focus your attention on where you live, not someplace you don't. You're not a Kansas taxpayer, so your opinion is irrelevant.

So? Nothing is changing anywhere outside of Kansas because of Brownback, or Koch Brothers for that matter. That's just liberal propaganda/hysteria. And none of those places you linked to have anything to do with you anyway.

And your comment makes no sense either. The people will either vote Brownback out or they will blindly vote him in again on issues not related to their own economic self interests.

GS, your real reason for relentless attacks on Brownback is thinly disguised. I doubt your passion level related to the economic self-interests of Kansans rises nearly as high as that related to his social conservatism - which I'm guessing is his primary appeal to the average Kansan.

But putting that aside for the moment, please give a couple of specific examples of economic hardship caused the average Kansan by Brownback.

Look, I'm as fed up as anyone with multi-nationals funneling formerly middle-class wealth away from them and away from America. But I don't think that's where you're coming from here. Something tells me you'll be hand-wringing over "climate change" and women's right to kill by the second sentence, if you are inclined to respond. Prove me wrong.

It actually kind of makes me smile to know you feel threatened by the Tea Party. I thought liberals dismissed them out of hand. They must be doing something right if they are getting your attention.

I would say that voters all over the nation vote blindly and not on issues that affect them. A lot of people are just dumb (low information voters). Kansas doesn't have the market cornered on that. Obama was elected because of some people who were informed and knew what they were voting for, plus a lot of dumb sheep who followed along. Without the sheep, he wouldn't have been elected.

That said, of the people who don't vote blindly, sometimes it comes down to voting for the candidate whose values and ideals most closely match your own. Whether I vote for Brownback will depend on who runs against him. It's about more than economics.
