Unemployment in KS is lower than most places. OP should make an official inquiry or ask at the Job Service when they go to look for employment. Average household income in KS is low, about $45,000 or less per household. Anyone moving into the state for a high paying job needs to understand that if they lose that one, they not be able to replace it and unemployment will run out.

I don't know what KS pays (max. allowed), but I'm employed in CO and not trying to move to KS. I was born and raised in KS, but don't plan to live there again.

I would think that Johnson County would have good jobs that pay decent.

I didn't start it. I just responded to the OP. I lived in KS for 18 years, so I drop in here every now and then.
