That isn't what the vote was actually about in Kansas, but I can understand that it was difficult for many people to comprehend. Restrictions will most likely be tightened, and hopefully, KS doesn't end up as the only state again doing partial birth abortions where they pull the baby into the birth canal and stab it to death. The physician that did that ended up like the babies he took the lives of.

We have a Democratic governor that we need to rid ourselves of, which brought out a lot of people for the primary, as it is important that we choose the best candidate to run against Biden butt-kissing Kelly. That has been accomplished.

So, a mother-to-be in KS will continue to have the right to order the death of her unborn child, and that is what has people cheering.

Happy that people who live on the Missouri side in the KC metro area will still have options.

Thank you to the good people of Kansas. Women and girls will retain the rights to their bodies.

No, it's not that hard to comprehend. People in KS across every party, including Republicans, voted against this proposal that an ultra-conservative, hard-right-wing state legislature should be able to dictate abortion laws. I say Bravo.

For anyone that wants to look at the history of how the "right" for a mother-to-be to order the termination of her pre-born baby's life, this article is excellent, explaining every detail of how it came about and where it may go from here. There was a LOT of misinformation spread by the abortionists as they 3 counties with abortion clinics (all the wealthy areas of the state, not where the poor are that one insists should have abortions) must have put quite a bite of money behind the movement. I know yard signs and vandalism at the Catholic church here were ongoing, and they worked very hard to misinform the public on the issue.

Also, interesting to note that this was taken to the SC of Kansas, not by a woman or by an organization, but two abortion doctors from an abortion clinic in Overland Park, KS (think very wealthy area), so that ultimately increased their profits. The article I link has that information also.

My final thought on this is "karma", and we all know what that is!

Exactly. The people of Kansas don't want politicians dictating their medical care. It's a shame the far right don't understand simple facts.

This is the way most states will vote if left up to the electorate. The pro-life camp will have to come up with a strategy that doesn't involve the fact that a clear majority of Americans want safe and legal access to choice and they also don't want government intrusion in peoples private affairs. Who knows fornication will be next.

So, we are hearing Kansas is progressive but I think it's just full of traditional Republicans not Rino's, trumpers and fundies. Traditional Republicans are pro-choice. Roe v Wade passed because of Republicans. It'd be nice, if the GOP could get their party back. The southern States may not be so lucky as Kansas.

100% agree. It's a shame far right whack jobs have take over the party. Dems have the same problem but from socialists on the left.
