Hi! I have been given a preliminary offer to teach in Salina, KS. I am trying to move closer to Iowa, and since its hard to get a teaching job out there, this seems like a good location right now. I want to get some information about living expenses, crime, jobs.... etc

Come and check us out! We have been in an extended housing boom, so house prices have been jumping upwards. It seems to have leveled off some now. Our schools have a great reputation. Most of our schools have new additions or have just been remodeled.

Thanks for the information! I checked out your prices for rent and housing and it is a lot less than my home town! I'll be visiting Salina in June!
