There are not that many places to live around Liberal, KS. It's huge, really huge fields to the north, east & west and semi-desert to the South. "Suburban Sprawl" is not applicable to that part of the country, you'll have to live in Liberal or one or two dying one elevator towns within reasonable driving distance, and why would you want to do that?

In the "Things to do" category = The Lee Richardson Zoo in Garden City. This zoo is the best kept secret in SWKS.

Bring your swimming suits on a hot summer day, because the huge city pool is next to it.

(I live in NC now, but am from Garden City)

I am moving to wichita next month (job transfer). Can someone tell me what area is the best to live in?

Not Liberal, which is far removed from the Wichita area.
