Some people just don't understand Kentucky's beliefs and some even think Kentucky is ignorant and backwards. But for those god has prepared a raging fire that will burn for eternity.

What we dont understand is why people believe a God created men and gave him intelligence. But if you use that intelligence[such as understanding science] you are a sinner. "God gave you a brain but you better not use it!" Geesh!

I don't think Kentucky is "ignorant and backwards"...not at all.

And I'm fairly sure that the intelligent and educated folks in Kentucky would rather not be lumped in with those who believe that the earth is 6,000 years old and humans rode around on dinosaurs. I don't think that represents "Kentucky's beliefs" at all.

There are undereducated people all over this country. Anyone who chooses to dismiss Science using religion is a sheep. It has nothing to do with geography and everything to do with intelligence, education, and the ability to think critically.

*here's a little hint...There are plenty of Christians who completely understand and accept the theory of evolution and even.....*gasp...the Big Bang Theory. I would be very careful about damning folks to hell. That kind of bad karma has a nasty habit of coming back and biting you in the butt.

Oh, please.
God has far more important things on his agenda than to be concerned about what people think of Kentucky.

Nobody is putting you down for using your brain. After all, science is simply a study of what God has given us. It's when you STOP using your brain & declare yourself the center of the universe and become a hypocrite by poking fun at the religious, or refuse to identify clues that what you teachers told you may be very wrong (because they themselves were self-centered). Those behaviors don't sound like someone who is using their brain.

Exactly! Whom need all that science stuff to esplain everything when the bible does a much better job of it.

Sooooo... you'd rather believe in what some 2000+ year old humans wrote down or though up (with little technology and primative thinking), than to believe what modern people dedicate their whole lives to studying. Just how does the bible explain everything better? Maybe it just makes YOU feel better.
