Sounds like the problem is with the op and not Northern Kentucky. People who post a thread so negatively, don't realize it, but they speak volumes about their selves and say nothing about the region they post the thread about.

I've been all around, Midwest, South and Far West and what I've learned, people are generally the same all over. Basically, you are treated the way you treat people. People in Northern Kentucky are basically no different than people in Northern California or South Alabama. No matter your accent or where you're from, if you treat people in a polite and respectful manner, that's the way you'll be treated.

Anybody who seriously thinks you're dumb, toothless and barefooted because you're from Kentucky, well, that just shows their ignorance and says nothing at all about you, or anybody from Kentucky for that matter. That's just one person in a hundred. It's easy to find 99 other people who don't think that way. I wouldn't waste my time. And if it's an employer who thinks that, and he's serious and not joking, then he's not the person I would want to work for. And I bet the majority of his workers don't like working for him either and they will switch jobs the first chance they get.

Total ****hole. Sorry.
I live in NKY right now. I've lived in 11 states now and in some of those states, more than one region. NKY and Cincinnati is not the best place I've lived but it is far from the worst.

Care to expound a bit and by that I mean give precise reasons as to why you have this view?

With a new account just to post in here, he or she must be from some other place.
