Thank you, XX. I've done that, but every time I find land, they only want a "regular" house on it :-(

Hmmm, I would think they would happy to sell the land and not quibble over the house going on it. Course, you could buy a plot of land with a house already on it and tear down the house.

My stepdaughter lives in Pineville so we stay there alot over the years. The country inn and suites in Loundon is new inside and has new owners (we liked the old ones, haven't meet the new ones yet) DON'T stay at the Baymont! Also we have stopped staying at the comfort inn. If I had to stay in Corbin I would look into the lodge at the falls could be more fun.

I've had family stay at the Holiday Inn Express at the south I-75 exit. They seemed to like it. Also there is a new hotel (well somewhat new) at the north exit (I think it is the Hampton Inn) that looks good.

BTW... I'm assuming cigarettes are cheaper in KY than here in Michigan? Does anybody know how much they are a carton?

You can plan on about $40.00--$45.00 a carton...depends on what you smoke.

Don't get me wrong but, I quit....I haven't smoked in 22 days. If you quit you won't have to buy them. I'm not on your back...I'm just saying.

I plan on quitting when we get down to KY. My hubby, on the other hand.. well..

Thanks for the input though. Cartons in MI are at least $60 each!!!

Default New Question for ya

Any ideas about Access cable company, versus other TV and Internet services? I have friends that say Access is wayyyyy cheaper than Comcast.

We're in Michigan now, moving down to KY soon, but Comcast prices here are RIDICULOUS!!

We're moving to the Corbin/London area.

Any ideas on the Cable companies?

Thanks,
Cat

Time Warner is the primary cable company in the Corbin/London area. Direct TV and Dish TV also have the local channels out of the Lexington Media Market.

Smile Anybody know of a good house in Corbin?

Well.. we've been looking for a new Manufactured home in Corbin for about a year now, but it's hard to find land that's not "restricted", that has all the Utilities, AND.. we want a garage. We're now making our first trip down to KY in about 3 weeks.

We have found that we can get a "regular" home, not too old, for about the same price, and.. they have the things we want, a ranch (hubby needs all one floor) a 2 car garage, about a 1/2 acre or more, within range of shopping, doctors, etc. but with some privacy.

PLEASE, if you know of anybody selling a decent home in the area, let me know. We'd really like to actually buy a home when we come down.

Thanks, in advance!
Cat
