I used to live in Ky and this band called Nervous Melvin and the Mistakes was very very popular. Anyone familiar with this band? Are they still playing around Louisville/Lexington?

They were my very favorite band when I was younger. Believe it or not I still see their name from time to time when they play at private parties.
The lead singer is a psychiatrist in Louisville.

We just saw them at Smith-Berry Winery for the opening of their summer concert series. It sounded like they had several more performances for the summer around the area.

Man, there were some great local bands at that time. Another Mule was one.

Nervous Melvin is very much alive. They performed tonight for a fund raiser at the Henry Clay. They will also be at Abbey Road on the River and Smith Berry Winery this summer, plus other gigs at outdoor festivals. They play weddings, company parties, and a number of other functions regularly. Most bands wish they were this alive!!

They sure sounded like they were alive at the four gigs I've attended since New Year's Eve 2008.

Unhappy Worried Fan

I have been a HUGE fan of Nervous Melvin and the Mistakes. They played my prom and my wedding reception, which was incredibly fun.We have always counted on Nervous Melvin to be there on our nights out on the town. Recently we attended a Christmas party where they played and noticed someone in the band was missing. It took us a few songs to get it, the lead singer's partner was missing. The bass player Jerry was missing, where is he? Talk about a disapointment, I hope he is okay and will be back soon. I can't imagine Todd playing without Jerry, their harmony vocals are truley what made them special. Hope it's temporary for the fan's sake.
