We are interested in moving here, and my only concern is the noise from the airport. Would really apreciate any first hand knowledge on this matter, also any opinions on Connor high school or Lloyd High? Or anything else a new family to the area should know? Thank you...

My family has lived right under the airport for over 40 years...We dont have any trouble witht he airplanes..( I mean..yea, their there..but its not that big of a deal) We live in the Costance area of Boone Co. close by the aderson Ferry....( which by the way..I very much recommend taking a short trip across to Ohio and getting an ice cream at UDF..It will only cost $1 to go over and back) .."on foot" Anyways, Conner seems like a good school...I was homeschooled..so Ive never gone there. My Mother graduated from there, and so has several of my cousins..they seemed to of enjoyed it. I love the Boone Co. area..because you can find whatever type of house your looking for...whether you want to live more in the city or out in the country..or just close enough where your not out in the boonies.....Its nice. But about the airport...its not that bad...( of course I could just be used to it) But honestly..I hear more from the boats then I do the planes. : )

I lived in Taylor Mill, Kenton County, and really you don't notice the airplanes. It is like living in any other city really, occasionally you see a plane but they aren't noisy and don't cause any problems. I see no concern about the airport at all. If anything, it is convienant if you want to travel somewhere.

whats the confusion? Just don't live next to the airport and its fine - there are plenty of neighborhoods and wide opens space in the surrounding few miles where this is easy.

We have lived in Villa Hills since 1963 and the noise of the airport isn't too bad. You do get used to it after awhile. As far as convenience for travel, don't count on the best fares. It's better now since it is not a Delta hub, but now the options are fewer. A nice place to live however.

Well, one more. My apartment is on the east side of the airport along the riverbank about six miles from the thing. I don't know it's there.

HOWEVER, about once a year a formation of military planes from somewhere going from southeast to northwest flies over Covington at about rooftop level.
