I am moving back to KY in June and am starting my hunt for an apartment. I need a 2 bedroom that allows pets and has a washer and dryer in it. Any info would be appreciated.

I used to live at the duplexes at Heritage Manor. Cheap, quiet neighborhood. Pets ok. Only has hook-ups for washer and dryer, not the actual appliances but I remember the landlord saying he had helped other residents find those kinds of things. And you can probably find a cheap set on craigslist.

Ah, Heritage Manor, brings back old memories. The complex is older but meticulously maintained, and CHEAP! Problem is, my now wife rented from the Duggin's family (who own HM) back in the day, and from personal experience, I would venture there is zero chance they would allow pets. Mr. Duggins is VERY particular. While we were dating, I once parked a UPS-style box truck I drove for my job in the complex overnight, the next morning there was a note on the windshield telling me I was never to bring it on the property again.
OP, what price range are you looking at? I can give you names of many complexes, along with their pros and cons, but the W/D thing might be an issue.

My bad, OP, apparently pets ARE allowed. I would highly consider this place if I were you. The rates were noticeably less than other places in town, hence there was always a waiting list to get in. The fact that Mr. Duggins was so strict about the "truck incident" is the exact reason I would want him as a landlord: he doesn't put up with any crap!

I am looking in the range of $500 to $600 at the most since I dont have a job lined up as of yet. I need a 2 bed/2 bath in the Central High School area. I went to North but now that they have metal detectors I dont really want my kids going there. Ha one side is at least they have that protective measure, but the other side is that they even Need them that concerns me.
