I was looking at the radar loop for March 2 today, the storm that hit East Bernstadt went right over where dozens of my family live in Northern Russell/ Southern Casey counties. Actually found a video shot of this storm trying to put down a funnel near Salem KY.

The funnel that did the damage in EB was a slanter, which is not that common. Here it is in Somerset

There's video of it forming as a funnel cloud in Pulaski County on YouTube.

What's strange is that the land here is so very hilly, if the land was flat here I would about guarantee the tornadoes in East Bernstadt and West Liberty would have been EF4 or EF5's easily and probably wider as well.

Just think if we all gave $5.00 or even $10.00 to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army? Please donate to help the people who have lost everything........

Call it what ye want to my friend, facts are facts ....and I know a tragedy when I see one or two.

If our Government took care of it's own like it take's care of the rest of the world, there wouldn't be any need for the Red Cross...

Can you at least refrain from politicizing until after the funerals of those who were killed by the tornados??

On a side note... I've heard of at least 3 people dying in this outbreak in their CARS!! Actually the tornado that hit Grant/ Kenton Cos (same super cell that went through Henryville Indiana) killed a woman died on I-75 and and a man on US 25 at the same time. People please use some common sense and stop!

Anyways, the death toll in KY is up to 22 +1 indirect fatality: an elderly woman was taking shelter when the storm that would hit East Bernstadt was going through Somerset. She accidently locked herself in her closet

Sometimes it takes a tragedy to get some peoples attention. Trying to shame me is not the answer. Oh I'm sorry, I'll try to be more politically correct next time, heaven forbid offending someone. I'm offended on a daily basis by the way our Government is run.
