OK, heres the dillema. My wife and I just moved here from virginia and are trying to plan our wedding for december 29th with less than 50 people coming. We've been looking anywhere near Etown, louisville, or somewhere that is within a decent driving distance that isn't going to cost me 20k or even 10k to get married. On a side note, yes me and my wife were marrie,d but didn't have a big ceremony because we were getting ready to move so now I want to help set things up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, its just so hard finding anywhere. Rustic would be nice, barns lodges etc.

Thanks

leroy

You can usually rent a spot in one of the beautiful parks in Louisville for not a lot.

Cherokee Park has that Gazebo on Baringer Hill that could easily fit 100 chairs inside of it I would think. It's only $150 and because it is on top of the hill, the view is gorgeous.

Iroquois, Cherokee Park, Central Park, Tom Sawyer Park - all are really pretty - you could get an inexpensive caterer
and not be out a lot of dough.

I had some friends who had their reception at the lodge at Camp Kavanaugh in Oldham County (east of Louisville). No idea about cost, but it sounds like the type of vibe you might like.

Don't forget about Bernheim Forest halfway between Louisville and Elizabethtown with beautiful lakes there.

Since your renewal of vows is December 29, an indoor location would be preferable - many of the suggestions are great for warmer seasons, but not ideal for late December.
