Can anyone give me some information on Elizabethtown? I am thinking of moving there. I found good deals on places to rent. Please advise. Thanks.

Anything specific you are interested in? You can google Elizabethtown and also Hardin County, and find several websites that will provide plenty of general information. I'll be happy to try to answer specifics, if I can. Elizabethtown and Hardin County are one of the best areas of Kentucky to live and work.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was looking to rent an apartment there and I work in the legal field as a paralegal. Do you think I would be able to get a job there or would I have to drive to a big city? Can you tell me about the town? Is it a small town feel? Does it have a historical downtown area? I want to live in a slower paced area and feel like a family type town. I am young and will be coming alone so I really could use all the information you could give me. Do you have any idea of how much a two bedroom, two bath apartment would be? I want to have an extra room for guest. I really appreciate all the information you can give me. Thanks so much.

Elizabethtown is the county seat of Hardin County, which has a population of almost 100,000 people. There are lots of lawyers and law firms in Elizabethtown, and a few in Radcliff. The justice center is located in downtown Elizabethtown, and there are six courts in total (2-district; 2-circuit; and 2-family court). There is a lot of litigation, including domestic relations matters, going on. Depending on your credentials and experience, you should be able to find work in the legal field.

Elizabethtown can be whatever you want it to be. It is an old town, and parts of it definitely have the old "small town" feeling. There is a lot of development going on in certain areas, and that of course, has the new feel. We are only 30-35 minutes south of Louisville, so lots of folks go to Louisville regularly when they desire a "big city" experience.

2 bedroom 2 bath apartments will run anywhere from 450 to 850, depending on how nice a place you want. I am enclosing a url for the newest, nicest, and most expensive apt. complex in town. The apts there run 750-850. You can certainly find nice, less expensive apts as well. Try this url to get started:

Elizabethtown is a nice and friendly place. It is safe, and has a lot to offer. Good luck!
