Is realtor.com the best website to look for properties around KY Lake ... Or is there a local site that is better?

Thanks bunches! Jules

When we were house looking in Cadiz, on the Barkley Lake side, we used realtor.com quite a bit. We had someone tell us they found out some of the realtors in the area through realtor and checked their individual web sites.
Any particular area around Kentucky Lake you're checking on?

I have no idea what area to look in. LOL

We are originally from Louisville, and eventually want to move back that way ... maybe in 3 to 5 years. So, we are thinking about going ahead and start looking for a place, that we might possibly use as a rental until we move back. We think that maybe it would be a good idea to go ahead and take advantage of the low interest rates and lower home prices.

Ideally this would be our last forever home, so I'd love a ranch on a flatter piece of property, and not one of the houses on a huge hillside with tons of steps! We'd also love one that is always on water with a boat dock.

Do you know which areas might fit that criteria? Beside Gilbertsville and Cadiz, I don't even know what other city names to use when doing a lookup.

HUGz! Jules
