So this is the issue.....
My husband works in Franklin, KY and we live in Portland, TN. Our landlords can not afford to fix our heating/cooling unit so we are needing to move soon. I know nothing about Franklin or anything about KY. What is within 20 miles of Exit 6 of I65? Towns etc?

Homeschooling laws? Public schools for special ed high school students which one is better?

Also, I was just told that I would have to basically repay for my van before I can tag it in KY, is that true? The BB value of my van is about 2500. Do I really need to pay that before I can tag it?

repay van before moving? That sounds pretty extreme. Someone may be talking about KY's annual vehicle tax which is based on the value of the vehicle. It's not a huge amount for a used vehicle. I think I had to pay $125 in tax last year for my 2005 Camry which is worth probably $7,000

Bowling Green is less than 20 miles from Franklin, with nice country living outside of town (2nd largest county in Kentucky) and plenty of restaurants and shopping in town. If you're looking to stick to a small town maybe try Scottsville. And I've never heard of anyone having to essentially repurchase their vehicle to register it.
