I have heard all kinds of good and bad things about Pikeville. Is there any support of diversity there? Do they have any LGBT groups there? How safe is this area and I have heard that you don't get out during the winter months because the roads are too hazard to travel on. What do people do for fun in Pikeville? The photos I have seen show a lot of outdoor nature but what if you don't really like outdoor nature what fun things can you do then? How is the economy there compared to other cities around or near there? Is there a website that will provide more information on this? I have lots of questions so thank you for your help.

Yea the roads do get dangerous because of the terrain. But people say it could be worse and I agree because the Virginia roads nearby are horrible. Just drive prepared and don't depend on a service like AAA. Sometimes its better to pull over and wait a few hours to melt than to risk it. Can't speak much on the rest of your concerns. You may find luck if you google "to pix pikeville forum" without the space.
