I plan on moving to Western Kentucky in June of this year. I'll be staying with a friend outside of Bowling Green at first. I'm not a licensed electrician but I have many years experience in that field. I'm also a welder (MIG/TIG), of all metals and I used to install home entertainment systems and can operate heavy equipment. I'm interested in finding out what the job prospects are in Western Kentucky, the cost of living, cost of housing to either rent or buy.

If you don't have to be right in Bowling Green, Transcraft, Inc. in Cadiz, Ky hires welders. Transcraft makes flatbed trailers for semis and the plant is located just west of I-24 off 68/80. I think you have to apply through the state employment office in Hopkinsville. Might also check through this site. You can register online so you can check on jobs that are listed easier but I chose check list without logging in just to see what they had for welders. I put in Hopkinsville's zip code for their reference.
