These were taken in Butler county south central Kentucky the weekend of 11-15-2008. Included are pics from the old locks at Woodbury, some from our river property on 'little bend', a friend's old cabin & restored civil war era barn, etc.
Does anyone know anything about this place? I have a thing for old homes and this one is fabulous!!!
My wife and I looked at a house in Springfield,Ky about three years ago and we went to see this place while we were there. It's north of Springfield up by the Bluegrass Parkway. It's a 130 yr old hotel, here is some pics of it I found on the internet. scroll down there are several pics.
I found that page later on. Someone burned the place down. I was so depressed ........... had hoped it was still standing. What a gorgeous old place it was. So sad.
I didn't know it had burned down until I read about it, we were there the last week of March in 2006....less than two months before it burned. It's a shame that someone with money didn't buy the place before it got in such terrible shape and renovate it. A lot of history there down the drain.
