Gorgeous! Just what I'm looking for. I've lived in GA the past 30yrs and plan that my next move shall be to a peaceful, secluded, rural countryside haven. So far, KY and TN have that appeal. All I know about KY is from driving thru it, and love it! How long have you lived there? How did you decide on where, exactly, to look for your property? There's so much of KY that is wonderful.
My wants are: lots of large trees, a secluded setting, sparsely dotted with dwellings, the acreage might have a house on it - or not; don't know how much acreage but guess maybe 15-30, possibly more; and I'll probably only be able to afford $2-3K/ac. I don't need a mall, and don't mind having to drive 20+ minutes to the grocery store, and I plan not to have to drive to work [hah...I can dream!] Would prefer a warmer, versus colder, locale.
I would love to show you some areas around Dale Hollow Lake. Most are secluded, 20 minutes from town and 10 from Dale Hollow Lake and at very reasonable prices. Let me know if I could be of help.
Darn you, I left Owensboro, as soon as I graduated form WKU, moved to Atlanta, then to Charleston ,SC. Now years later here in my late 40's I am home sick, although I loved Atlanta, except for the horrible traffic, I wish I had never left Kentucky, it is truely beautiful, and the people there are the friendliest, most sincere people on the planet. Keep sending the great photos, As soon as the housing market turns around here in Charleston, Ill be home. Thanks again for the great photos.
