Why are there no recent crime rates for Louisville, KY or no crime rates for Lexington, KY? Also, most cities with a very significant growth in population over the last several years only show crime rates from 2003, 2004, but nothing recent.

If you are trying to gauge how safe an area or neighborhood is try (they list crimes for the last month per area and type).
This is for Lexington

I have lived in Baltimore and Miami and can tell you though the crime rate doesn't seem bad at all in comparison. But yes Louisville and Lexington will have a higher crime rate than small town Kentucky for sure!

I've noticed that too and it's annoying. Louisville may have something to do with the merger, seems like the statistics end at the city/ county merger in 2003. I'd say both cities have a crime rate similar to the last years available, but it would be nice to know for certain.

What's the date of that article? I don't see an article date, but in the article it mentions 2004 and 2005, and seems to imply it was written sometime around 2005.
