Are native Louisville residents getting to be a minority now?

No, what I mean is I think most Louisvillians and Kentuckians consider themselves Southern and there are surveys and such to support that.

You can find surveys to support any opinion or theory one has. I learned that in college.

Geographically speaking All Of Kentucky is a southern state none of it is midwestern. The Ohio River separates the South from the Midwest. People may think different because of culture, but it really is southern. And yes I was born & raised in Eastern KY.

I agree totally. It has always amazed me that once you cross that river, the culture is just very different. I used to work for a company that required me to go to Evansville, IN for meetings and such. Once you leave Owensboro, KY or Henderson, depending on which way you went, the people were just very different once you were in Indiana.

I think 'pop' is used way more in the eastern half of the state (generally east of US 127), even among people who are otherwise very Southern.

I just googled this map and I am right apparently
