Woke up at 4 this morning to get a good seat, along with several thousand more folks, to watch the old Egner's Ferry bridge blown up. Was an awesome site and the new much wider bridge is very nice! Will be better when they get all 4 lanes open. At the one minute mark, look at the difference between the 84 year old 2 lane bridge, where you didn't want to be crossing meeting a semi or truck with a big boat, and the new bridge, which 2 lanes of it opened in April.

I thought about getting up to see the bridge come down, but forgot to set my alarm. Go figure, huh!!?? That's what happens when you forgot what it's like to set an alarm daily!!

G-Man, Thanks for sharing the thrill!

I started to call and see if you wanted to go, but wasn't sure if you were willing to get up at 4. lol
I looked in my rear view mirror as I got ready to turn off the highway and all the headlights behind me looked like the last part of "Field of Dreams". But instead of "if you build it, they will come", it was "if you blow it up, they will come". lol

That's funny! I understand the whole, not sure about getting up at 4:00AM. That's not my normal, smiley face time!
