What wireless phone service is available in Murray ? Will be in Murray for a while and I have Alltel and have heard there is no sales or service for Alltel in Murray. I know, I have heard that Verizon is purchasing Alltel, but need to upgrade now in Murray so I will not have to make a trip to Paducah for phone problems. Bobby

Most of this area is mainly AT&T...used to be Cingular. There is some Sprint service. My dad has Sprint in Mayfield and my stepson had it in Hopkinsville but switched to AT&T. Can't tell you about much more.

I use Verizon and have had maybe one call drop out. The main one is AT&T and God only knows why people love them. The worst service I have ever had. Nextel/Sprint works ok here. Nothing special. Those three are the only one's I can think of being here.

ATT has the market share just because Cingular was so popular and very good. ATT has been a big disappointment to most IMO. Verizon covers that area well.

I haven't had that much trouble with AT&T. Only place I have trouble, but not as bad as I did with Cingular, is on 68/80 around Gracey.

If you are in areas where there is too much growth to keep up with their network...like Bowling Green, it is horrible. The do nothing to maintain their networks at a level that they should. Cingular was so much better in every aspect.
