I need to get a new ID but I have an issue with obtaining proof of address.

I just moved in with a friend and have no bills in my name. I know you can use a notarized letter from someone I live with stating that I do live with them as proof.
BUT
I need an ID to get the letter notarized....

Any advice ?

Four suggestions:

!. Have your roommate get the notorized letter stating you live there.
2. Get something from your employer stating your official mailing address (where you get income and tax-related info).
3. Can you get a bank or cc statement with your new/current mailing address?
4. What about something from your landlord? Unless you are sub-letting from the roommate. Couldn't the property owner provide you with something?

The landlord can give a notarized letter.
