Thanks to both of you both posts have rekindled my desire to move. Also the info in RA specialists in Lexington is good news.

Wife is doing better we head to the mountains of NM fir her birthday mid August then I hope we can make a trip in mid to late September.

We have lived in rougher winter climates than Nashville and even Lexington. We are older now and it is harder on us now but we know the drill and keep well stocked. We have had a mountain place in NM forever and it's not uncommon to lose power there or in hurricane events in Houston. We get ice and tornados in Dallas area too but icr storms are less frequent and less severe we can get winters with no hard freezes.i will take snow over ice storms always.

Thanks for the comprehensive comments. I did not realize Lexington was lightly wooded rolling hills and horse farms are a big part of the appeal of Williamson county as they reminded us of Somerset county NJ where we lived for six years.

Small world update. My niece from NYC/Philly is moving to Lexington to get a Masters. University of KY gave her a fully funded option that involves some work in exchange. But she is very excited and selected this choice over 7 other attractive options including one in Austria.

We have delayed our move as health issues stopped us we are hopeful to over come them and get up to see the area and our niece.
