About 30 years ago I went to Woodbury with some friends to go squirrel hunting. I was only nine then and my memories of the place I must admit have taken on an aura of magic. Is it a good place to live and are there any jobs in the area? I know it has a reputation as a haven for folk artists and craftsmen. I am very familiar with the House brothers and the incredible flintlock rifles that they make. I also build flintlocks but I am definately not in their league.

Woodbury is also a special place to me. My grandfather is featured at a museum there but it is not opened year round. House Kentucky rifles are famous worldwide. My wife & I will be retiring there in a few years just down river in little bend, just outside of Morgantown.
As far as jobs in the area I have no idea. You may have to try to find employment in BG depending on your income needs.

Arrow Woodbury

I bought the house Frank and Lally lived in back in 2003. You're right about their skills. They showed me a photo of Mel Gibson taken in my house when Frank made a gun for him. When I get time I'm going to be working on my website for woodburyky.com. If any one has pictures or ideas I sure would appreciate them. Yall have a good one!!!
