Massie represents northern Kentucky, which is far more conservative than Lexington or Louisville. Even so - he's gotta go. Just wish I could "assist" in voting him out!

Meanwhile, Kentucky and Kentuckians are very blessed to have Andy Beshear as our governor at present. Calm, cool, collected, intelligent, compassionate, organized, firm, and articulate, his every-evening press conferences are must-see viewing for all of us right now.

Because Kentucky. The majority of people who live in his district think he represents their interests and their point of view better than anyone else they can find, and I don't think it's a stretch to say the majority of the people in the entire state feel exactly the same way. This is what it's like living down here.

Beshear is literally a godsend. Every night, after listening to him on public radio, I tell my wife, "Can you even begin to imagine what kind of shape we'd be in right now if he hadn't won that election just a few months ago?" Maybe I'm biased because I live here and see so much of him, but I truly believe he has to be one of the top 5 (or at least 10) governors in the United States right now, in terms of how he's handling this. If both he and whatever's left of our system of government survive this event, he has an enormous future ahead of him.

I'm not from KY, but Massie is the lone voice of reason in a deafening cacophony of insanity and fear.

I saw Massie being interviewed and allowed to give his side of the story. I'm not defending him or his actions. Maybe he was grandstanding. Maybe he was the only congressman with a backbone who stood up for his convictions and what he thought was the right thing to do by having Congress reconvene despite the circumstances. We'll have to see how history judges him.
I have a feeling he'll be reelected overwhelmingly if he runs again for Congress.

It’s dangerous to be right when the government is wrong.

He is paying a price for standing by his principles and not playing ball with the rest of the Washington elite.

You know what doesn't care about your principles or anyone else's? Viruses. You can't bend them to fit your alternate reality, and that is something you, Massie, and a whole lot of other people are just about to find out.
