It really is sad when folks can't see the forest for the trees ... careful what you wish for you just might get.

To all you Obama supports name one thing he's done .... one thing that matters. Check his voting records he rarely even votes.

Obama's problem isn't skin color, it's that he/ his followers come across as has more of a Howard Dean rather than a blue dog democrat.

Bill Clinton's great success was being able to appeal to both blue dog/ Dixiecrats and and far left of the party - hence all of his electoral victories in the South (compared to ZERO for Gore or Kerry) The love affair (no pun intended) with Bill and these working class Democrats is why Hillary does so well with Red State Democrats

The war is a known mess make by Bush from day one since he did not have a military plan. McCain is a Vet/POW however he is to old and I think he still may have effects of being a POW. Obama for me seems to have a good idea what should be done. However we all know he will be fought on many of the right things. If you really look at it our deficit is so bad guess who has to help pay for it... us.

Paying for a 1 health system won't even be that bad. I mean do you pay premiums/copays/drug costs now? You would not have any of those so the cost would be reasonable. Plus its a known fact the other countries that have it live longer. But again JMHO

You don't think you will pay in one way or another for univeral healthcare? Not only will you pay for your own, but for everyone else's. Also, the expedient health services we enjoy in this country will no longer exist. I have friends in Canada that can't believe we don 't have to go on waiting lists for weeks or even months for something like an MRI. Some of them cross over into the US for treatment it is so bad.

Dixie I have heard that the wait is about the same we have now. They also don't even bother with XRay's anymore and use MRI's (which we should be doing now). Our costs are so out of control I really think once its regulated we will find it to be reasonable. However if you ask any dr, nurse, or healthcare person that provides a service they will tell you it will be the death of us.

I personally know people in Canada and these healthcare horror stories came from them. They cannot believe we can get an MRI same day in the drs. office in some cases. They have to wait weeks or months and then if surgery is needed wait for that also. Sometimes we just don't know how well we have it.

I got a spinal MRI and had to wait over a month for an appt, now if I had a broken arm they would take them right away. I'm sure if its critical they move up the timeframe. Like if you need heart bypass and your in iminent danger you probably get priority. Canadians I've talked to say its not that bad. I think its a matter of what each individual regards as important. Actually Taiwan has the MRI's instead of xrays. Don't know if Canada still uses xrays or not. I know most of the time I get xrays first AZ.
