I used to go to the Amish community in Crittenden County quite a bit but haven't been in a while. Will probably go when the produce comes in good. My son told me my ex-wife contacted the Amish about fixing a floor in her house. The whole floor in one room needs to be replaced. The man she talked to drives them to the jobs. They only charge $55/hour for the whole crew! Last time she needed floor work done they had it finished in 8 hours. That's only $440 plus material! And you can't beat the job they do!

InLondon, they don't like being photographed and I'll tell you another one. I took my parents to the Amish community shopping one time and there was a little girl with a doll. My mother noticed it didn't have a face on it. She asked the lady in the store about that. They won't put a face on a doll. With a face it would be a graven image.

In Graves Co we have Amish but we are currently battling them over placing the orange triangle on their buggy as in the 2nd photo.

Here in Wisconsin all the buggies have the Orange triangles. We had problems with them getting hit, finally they were required to.

Never had any trouble with them. I know when I see a black buggy in the road ahead of me I need to slow down or check to see if I can go around them. That's not that hard to figure out.

Maybe it's because at night or when it's raining it would be hard to see the buggies I would imagine.

In this area you don't see the buggies out at night. Been near the community when it's starting to get dark and they have those horses in a fast trot to get home before dark. I have seen some stay around Marion or Sturgis waiting out bad weather before getting out on the roads.
