Now that I've actually booked my trip for the 2nd, I have all kinds of questions.
Today's question is -- What restaurant has the best biscuits in Central Kentucky? It's been 4 years since I've been to Kentucky and the first thing I want to do, is have some good biscuits. That's one of the things I've always looked forward to every time I've gotten into the area.
This is more towards Northern Kentucky, and will sound really off but it is true. Many of the McDonald's in Northern Kentucky have EXCELLENT biscuits and gravy at their stores. I don't understand how their biscuits can be so good. I'm used to homemade biscuits by my grandma who had a very good recipe for biscuits, and the McDonald's ones don't compare. But they are still very good.
lol
No disrespect intended, but this thread made me laugh out loud and spit my coffee.
Speaking as someone who TRULY knows what a good biscuit is, I have NEVER found a GOOD biscuit in Lexington nor especially northern KY.

I know what a good biscuit is. My grandma knows how to make very good, crisp biscuits that you cannot find in any stores. But that doesn't mean you can't find a decent biscuit.

I haven't tasted a biscuit since I came to Canada. My mother use to make the best home made biscuits and gravy. But mine aren't near as good as hers. I always thought Kentucky fried chicken had good biscuits and also cracker barrell and Frisches. People here in Canada call a cookie a biscuit. Hope I'll be home soon to get some real biscuits and gravy.
Gosh.....take your pick, places all over Kentucky where you can get good biscuits. My granny in western Ky makes good Biscuits as well..
