its not if he gets elected its when.

im one of those outraged young voters who has absolutly had it with the republican ways of running this country. Unemployment is out of control, many of my peers have been killed in a war we should have never been in. Its time for US to take control of OUR country. The youth vote is going to be the difference this year. We WILL make the difference. I promise

I hate raising politics, but I honestly don't see how anyone can call Obama anti-American. That seems like an extreme view point that is just not backed up by any evidence. Moreover, I honestly don't see how Obama and a Democratic Congress can possibly do worse than Bush and a GOP Congress did. The last eight years are what should be scaring us out of our wits. Does anyone really think we're better off today than we were eight years ago?

Just my biased two cents.

Eight years ago we hadn't had 9/11. Like him or not President Bush has not allowed another attack since. Regardless of anyones politics he deserves some recognition for that. There are many things I don't agree with President Bush about but when it comes to national security he has kept our country safe to date. His presidency was changed instantly when 9/11 happened and his administration focused on national security. Former President Clinton had his chance 3 different times to get Bin Laden and didn't do it...I certainly wouldn't call Obama anti-american but the Congress is doing worse now than the GOP congress acording to polls....14% approval rating for Ms. P and Congress...the lowest of all time. I thought she was going to end the war, lower gas prices and save the world....

Honestly, I think it's up for a real debate whether that is due to his policies or just due to luck. And I note there have been plenty of attacks out side our borders that have killed plenty of Americans, unfortunately.

I appreciate someone who disagrees with Obama without demonizing him, so kudos to you on that.

As to Congress, it's been GOP controlled for 6 of the last 8 years, so a lot of that low rating is carryover from before. As to Pelosi, she still has to contend with a significant minority in the House and Senate who can block her actions, as well as a President who will veto just about anything she could get passed. All of that could change by the next election and then we will be able to better judge the performance by the Democrats.

Ah, the youth vote. Nothing like a bunch of people with little or no worldly experience jumping in and having their say. Kinda like the "Rock the Vote" thing from the early 90's. That got us Clinton and all of his/their mess-ups. Good luck with using that youth vote. When you are of an age to actually have developed you career into something worthwhile and would be making a good living, you'll see that choosing people with more and more socialist tendencies will have eroded things and the poor choices of your youth will be cursed as you pay out 60%+ in taxes and your freedoms are slowly ground into the dirt. Maybe you should just go to Europe now.

LOL. I couldn't believe it when Obama said that the other day. Sounds so Carteresque.

Correct me if I am wrong but didnt Obama just release an EXTENSIVE Energy plan yesterday or day before? You republicans always take something out of context and run just as fast as you can with it. Stop blurring the lines

and just so you know.... HDM I am a Special Education teacher. So I think I have settled into a fairly productive life thank you very much.

It also sounds so Bush's Department of Transportation and so American Automobile Association, because both of them are saying the same thing as well. It's nothing more than the truth -- we could significantly reduce our consumption of oil by keeping our cars tuned, inflating the tires to the correct pressure, and driving the speed limit. So the bottom line is that we all bear some responsibility for this mess, although I understand that it's easier and more fun to blame politicians, oil companies and OPEC.

As was pointed out, Obama released a comprehensive energy plan (more so than McCain's) and the stuff about tire pressure, etc., were really just side comments. IMO, it is unfair and intellectually dishonest to ignore the comprehensive plan and focus on the side comment. Although again, the side comment is right on the money.
