Yes, I know it was called the Derby in Bowling Green. If you read the link to WKU's Industry in Warren County, you'd have read this:

"Union Underwear, the maker of Fruit of the Loom, BVDs and Underoos, was founded in 1926 in Indianapolis by Jacob Goldfarb. As demand for his "union suit" increased, Goldfarb located manufacturing plants in Illinois and Kentucky. The company's Bowling Green plant opened on Church Street in 1941 as The Derby Underwear Company. Locally known as the "Derby," the plant doubled in size by 1950. They later moved corporate headquarters to Bowling Green and are presently known as Fruit of the Loom, Inc."

Jacob Goldfarb never had a manufacturing plant until he put one in Kentucky. On paper, the company may have been formed in Indiana, but the physical company was in Kentucky.

Actually it was hanes who bought and sold union which is its sisters cousin half nephew brothers company bought back in 929AD it was its fashion design which captured the romans army. It kept the armor from rubbing the romans the wrong way. It had great success in the defeat of many contenders.
