Ky keeps sticking in the back of my mind. There are so many cities that I wouldn't mind trying to live in. I am very curious as to which city I could still pick up a fixer upper for less than $100,000
I have checked Bardstown, Murray, Hendersonville, Paducah and their housing seem to be quite reasonable yet.
The only thing is, I would like to live in a little more exciting city with alot to do! I am contemplating the NE part by covington/cincy, the eastern Hendersonville, or the louisville/bardstown region. I love Murray but I am afraid I would get too bored there....lol.
Then are any of these fixer uppers in somewhat decent areas?
And no I do not need employment I can transfer with my current employer at anytime.
I am sure there are also weather factors too. I am in the south from the midwest and would like to find a happy mediam where there is some midwestern influences. Any ideas?
Any opinions? especially on the cost of living and real estate? I would appreciate any input

I think you mean Henderson in Western KY? I'm not aware of a Hendersonville, there's one in Tennessee though. It sounds like you want something in the triangle region which extends from Lexington to Louisville to Northern KY. Somewhere in that area would be a good fit I bet.
