Damaging Tornadoes are very rare in the Golden Triangle. Owensboro & South Central KY seems to be a tornado magnet
I'd say Frankfort, Shelbyville, or Georgetown would meet your criteria. They are basically btw Lexington & Louisville. Frankfort is set among the hilly KY River Valley and has the feel of a mini Pittsburgh. Nicholasville is also in your size range and has great shopping, although traffic (esp commuting to Lexington) is a pain
I'm Hispanic male married to a white woman I don't see any problems with it here in danville.as far as tornados you get that no matter where you live in Ky.Hope this helps some.
I live in Glasgow (42141) Can't garrentee the tornado thing but you can rent from $350 up or buy from $65k up. Lived here all my life and love it!
