Hi there.

I am looking for an area of Kentucky with the following criteria. Thanks in advance.
  1. low crime
  2. friendly people that except a mixed couple...hispanic and white.
  3. clean air, water and soil
  4. no tornadoes
  5. hospital
  6. good schools
  7. population between 10k and 30k
  8. decent housing costs...would rent the first year...would like to keep it at 2k a month or lower
  9. beautiful scenery...love hills, mountains and lots of green
  10. lots of activities for children and adults

NO Such Place.... Anywhere in Kentucky is subject to tornadoes...

Yes, but it's not like we're Kansas. Most are relatively harmless and do just minor damgate.

Much less in the eastern portion of the state, but I don't know how that area will meet the rest of your expectations.

Anyway, doesn't every state have some weather issues?

I didn't realize Warren County had that many more tornadoes than every where else. That is strange.

Damaging Tornadoes are very rare in the Golden Triangle. Owensboro & South Central KY seems to be a tornado magnet

I'd say Frankfort, Shelbyville, or Georgetown would meet your criteria. They are basically btw Lexington & Louisville. Frankfort is set among the hilly KY River Valley and has the feel of a mini Pittsburgh. Nicholasville is also in your size range and has great shopping, although traffic (esp commuting to Lexington) is a pain

With the right conditions, ANYWHERE could have a tornado.

I'm Hispanic male married to a white woman I don't see any problems with it here in danville.as far as tornados you get that no matter where you live in Ky.Hope this helps some.

Renting for under $2000/month should be nooooooo problem in just about anywhere in the state.

I live in Glasgow (42141) Can't garrentee the tornado thing but you can rent from $350 up or buy from $65k up. Lived here all my life and love it!
