stx - I don't think the guy is truly trying to meet anyone here. He's just having some fun. If someone was interested in him, they could DM him... they don't need this thread. The conversation is really about finding compatible mates. Perhaps someone might have a legitimate recommendation for him?
Well, I've seen other threads on this site asking about where to meet singles and such (in their particular state or area)....so I just thought I'd start a thread on the Kentucky board asking pretty much the same. That's all.
not only should the thread not be deleted, but we should praise the OP for the most accurate statement about Kentucky women that has been posted.
I moved here at 26 and about to turn 29 and i've only ran into psychos with jealous ex boyfriends. Don't say i've looked in the wrong places either. The other thing is...there are absolutely no single women aged 21-30. If you didn't marry at 18-22, you feel like a failure and are looked at like you are from outer space. I'm not that far outside of Louisville, but it might as well be 300 miles away, not 30...
girls here like to go "mudding"...WTF? the "southern hospitality" thing is vastly overrated...yeah, strangers will go out of their way for you more than in the Northeast...but with this also comes many southerners talking behind your back. Nice to your face and then cause their boring hick lives aren't fulfilling, they have to talk about transplants to this area.
Well, I haven't necessarily had any bad experiences with Kentucky women, mind you....but I guess over the past year or so I've just had an incredible string of....well...."lack of success"....shall we say......when it comes to meeting single women around or about my age and in my area.
It always seems to be something....a fly in the ointment......a woman who's divorced with a young son (maybe 9 or 10 years old) who's more than a handful!----And he is on God only knows how many different medications just so he can successfully make it through the day without either killing someone...or driving his mom and/or teachers to suicide! I dated one woman who's son was 10 years old and a real devil! I brought my dog over to her house for him to play with in the yard while the mom and I ate lunch together in the kitchen. The whole time we were eating lunch I kept looking out of the kitchen window and seeing "medicine chest boy" chasing my dog alll over the yard, pulling its tail, throwing a soccer ball at it, chasing it with a rake...and then continuing to try and squirt my dog in the eyes with a high-powered squirt gun--the kind of squirt gun that shoots a stream of water like that of a freakin' fire hose! The kid was taking multiple (and I do mean "multiple") mood/mind-altering drugs....and I knew by the end of the day that although the mom was a nice-enough gal, the boy was just gonna be too much for a guy like me. So that was that. I don't need "Charles Manson Junior" for a stepson....sorry!
Then there's the divorced gal with the psycho ex husband. The kind that can't seem to hold a job, has been arrested numerous times, has a "ever-so-slight meth or crack or crank problem" ("ever-so-slight", mind you!!) is always late with the child support payments, has been in-an-out of prison, and is always spying on his ex to see who she's dating. I don't want to go over some divorced woman's house someday and get out of my car and see some dude running towards me with what looks like a machete in his hands and the look of Satan in his eyes....and he's screaming at me that "she's still my woman! You can't have her!" The guy's been to jail sooo many times that I seriously doubt that me telling him that "I'm gonna call the cops on him" (for trying to kill me) is really going to keep him from continuing to threaten me in the future. So why bother putting up with a divorced woman who happens to have "weirdo ex-hubby". Nope...not for me. My name isn't Ron Goldman, Jr. I'm not getting my head cut off or having my car winshield smashed/tires slashed or finding my dog (what's left of her, anyway) stuffed in my mailbox or what have you. Life's waaay too short for that kind of stuff.
And then there's other less serious stuff...but still nevertheless annoying and/or worrisome.
I don't care to date a woman who's been married three times....or has four kids from three different.....ahem!....."fathers" (lousy no good for nothing "sperm donors" is more like it)....Yes, I know that there are a lot of loser men in this world (men who are losers).....but when I meet a woman who seems to have turned picking men who are losers in an art-form/career.....that tells me something about her! Her previous three hubbies may have been the biggest losers that ever somehow managed to walk upright and chew gum at the same time.....but nevertheless she PICKED them! AND CHOSE TO HAVE KIDS WITH THEM! Knowing full well that one of them was an alkie, one was a Internet porn addict, one was an habitual cheater.....and one who, how shall we say, had fallen into the bad habit of not exactly paying Uncle Sam what Uncle Sam was entitled to every April 15th (the serious gambling habit may have had something to do with that, I suppose...who knows....)....and on and on and on...
So...the long and short of it is....any woman whose past incudes nothing but waste products for ex's just isn't the kind of gal for me! I'm just not attracted to women who have consistently demonstrated poor judgement over the years.
And then there's the woman who looks just fine on the outside...but in her head she's absolutely convinced that she looks like...oh....I don't know.....Rosie O'Donnell?
So she's always feeling down about her looks...to the point that for me, the guy. it's annoying and distracting. And it's sad....and I don't wish to spend the rest of my life with a woman who only wants to make love in pitch blackness.---lest I'm actually able to see her hips and buns...and whatever else it is that she'd rather have me not see in the daylight!!!!
And, no, I'm not looking for any "supermodel" or some sort of "ultra-thin babe"......okay? Thank you!
I'd also love a woman who truly speaks her mind and follows current events closely.
I don't know why I do.....maybe it's because a woman who's always ready, willing, and able to speak her mind (and shares her thoughts and feelings without having me always trying to play guessing games and mindreading games) and actually follows what's going on in the world might actually be a whoooole lot easier for a guy like me to talk to over the course of the next 30 or 40 years?
I'm not perfect.....and I'm not looking for perfection....
I'm just looking for a nice single woman.
....smart....talkative....honest...secure....follo ws current events....goes to church....cooks (And anything that can be stuffed into a microwave doesn't count!--That's not "cooking")....either has kids or wants them.....loves dogs (Mmmm...cats are okay, I guess LOL!).....oh!, and she's gotta be okay with sitting on my lap a lot!
And when she does sit on my lap she can't always be asking me: "Am I too heavy for you? I bet I'm making your thighs go numb, huh?" When it comes to intimacy/shared displays of physical affection I'm a guy who likes having his lap sat on/upon (among other things LOL!)
Anyway....I could go on and on....but the moderator/board monitor person is probably getting tired of my posts with regards to this topic....so I won't. (I apologize moderator/monitor person).
