Hi,
We are coming from Louisville and getting onto the Mountain Parkway. We will be getting off at Campton and traveling south through Jackson and Hazard, etc. We are looking for a place to stay the night around Campton. We are leaving late at night and would be able to make it to Campton, possibly Jackson, before we need to stop. Any suggestions? We would like to go REALLY cheap because we are leaving early the next morning. Also, local or chain does not matter. Thanks! Can't wait to explore Eastern Kentucky some more!

Where'd you go. What did you do?

I find that when I make those kind of trips, I just drive until I see a motel that looks OK and then check in. A few dollars difference in price ain't worth the shopping hassle, especially if I'm just going to sleep and go on.

Glad to hear you had a great time.

Getaway weekends are fun if you don't plan too much!
