I just moved to Kentucky and wanted to know if hurricanes hit here?

No, hurricanes themselves don't hit here. We aren't adjacent to a coast so most if not all of the hurricane's strength is drained as it travels over land. The most Kentuckians ever get from a hurricane is maybe a day or two of rain. So if you are worried about damage to your property from a hurricane and you live in kentucky, don't.

I think you might be safe here from hurricanes. Unfortunately, we do get the occassional Cyclone. Ha! Ha! Ha!
