BK on Market st in Johnson City closed a while back, and now it looks like someone is coming in and spiffing it up. The windows look fantastic, and have an Asian restaurant feel to them. Does anyone know what's going in there?

I am not for sure, but rumor has it that POPEYE'S is coming in there. If you have never had Popeye's chicken.... it iss the best.

Definitely would have preferred a Popeyes. Fresh sushi just seems ridiculous as land locked as we are.

There's a sign up now, Hibachi Express. It's not the one that comes up in google results, different logo, so I don't know what to expect.

I'm glad it's not a PopEyes

I'd also vote for something healthy in town - and an independently owned restaurant similar to the fantastic restaurants in Asheville.

My manager ate their one night and was not impressed. I'm pretty sure she told me it made her feel sick. . . but it could have been an off-night. Personally, I probably won't go to this place. If I want hibachi or sushi, I'm going to Tobiko.
