Hello, my husband and I are moving to Knoxville soon, he will be going to Mountain Home VA hospital from time to time. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the hospital? He has pancreatic cancer, 2 years now and is still going strong so he just goes in for his check up's every three months or so. Most VA hospitals are very good now as compared to say 10 years ago or so. Just wondered if anyone had any experience or word of mouth about the hospital. Thanks alot

Mountain Home VA Hospital is in Johnson City. There is also a VA Hospital in Murfreesboro.

I do think it is worth mentioning that there is a VA clinic in the Knoxville area. I know I have seen posts on it before but can't recall specifics.

Sorry I should of said Johnson City, that's where the VA hospital is, not Knoxville. Knoxville is where we will live. Thanks

Default Mountain Home VA

We relocated here from Florida over a year ago and live in Parrottsville. My husband goes to MH VA and it is wonderful. We have talked to several people up there (while waiting to see Dr.) and have had them tell us that they have moved here to retire to just to go to the VA. We have had nothing but good experiences.

Mountain Home is quite a large hospital system and its affiliation with ETSU keeps it strong. I've never heard anything but positive comments about MH.
